Superintendent of Schools Larry Moore announced that a student athlete at Marianna High School had tested positive for COVID-19.

Jackson County School personnel continue to work closely with Jackson County Health Department officials while they conduct contact tracing of any COVID-19 case that affect any student or staff member. A student has tested positive. Any time a school related individual is identified as a positive case they are immediately isolated. Close contacts are identified and isolated as well. Public health officials have completed contact tracing related to the positive test and isolated necessary individuals.

The safety and well-being of our students, staff, and community members is of the highest priority.
