Sneads volleyball made history this season winning their seventh straight 1A state championship, capping off a phenomenal year.
The awards didn’t stop with the State Championship as they now have become part of the first ever All-State volleyball team.
Coach Heather Brinkmeier Edge knew last year when she took over the ‘Dynasty’ as Sneads volleyball has become known for. They had won five straight championships under veteran coach Sheila Roberts and Brinkmeier Edge work hard to make sure the reign didn’t end when Roberts left the program. They won state in 2018 and set their sights on 2019. This year, they completed that feat to set the record. Coach Brinkmeier Edge was named 1A Coach of the Year. The Lady Pirates finished the season
21-10.
Freshman Lily Glover has her name in the record books once again as first team Libero All-State Player. Glover had 609 digs in 101 sets played for an average of 6.5 digs
per set.
Congratulations to Edge and Glover on yet another above-the-mark accomplishment from the staff and publisher of the Jackson County Times.
