Infant Skyanna La’Maya Jean Turner, age 1, passed from this life on Thursday, December 16, 2021 at Shands Hospital in Gainesville, FL.

On November 25, 2020 at Jacksonville Hospital an Angel entered this world. Skyanna La’Maya Jean Turner had many nicknames that she was called by, but the one that she was known for the most was MY-MY. She had a smile that could light up a room the second she heard her name. Skyanna had such a beautiful glow to her the second you saw her beautiful face; she would steal your heart. Her glow was definitely a gift of an Angel. Skyanna had so many different personalities and looks to her that she always made you think about what she was up to. Skyanna had many family and friends that truly loved her and she loved them. She loved her brother, Skyler, very much when she would see him whether it be day or night, she would sparkle with a beautiful smiling face with her little, what we call ginga-ninja kick of hers. When she was home, we packed in a lot at once, we didn’t have a dull moment when she was around. She touched the ocean more than once. People thought we were crazy for having her at the beach but the memories were worth making. Skyanna had a few things that she had adjusted to in her time with us. One of them was ICE! She would have a fit over it until she got what she wanted! Just like her momma. You couldn’t ever give it to her fast enough. We can never really pinpoint how much we loved Skyanna. She was perfect all the way around. Skyanna Turner may have had health problems, but she was a fighter! She overcame obstacles that even some grown adults struggle with! She may have been tiny, but she was mighty! She was Skyanna strong. She was a true inspiration to us all.

A funeral service for Skyanna will be 2 P.M. Thursday, December 23, 2021 at Marianna Chapel Funeral Home with Pastor Travis Mask officiating. Interment will follow at Rocky Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Marianna Chapel Funeral Home directing.

The family will receive friends from 1 P.M. until the time of service.
