Sherry Frances Nunnery Richardson, age 76, of Chipley, FL, passed away on Sunday, January 1, 2023 at Ascension Sacred Heart Hospital in Panama City, FL.

Sherry was born on September 5, 1946 in Marianna, FL, to the late Edgar B. Nunnery and Frances Parker. She was raised in Jackson County and was a 1966 graduate of Marianna High School. Sherry later moved to Chipley, FL where she raised her family. She stood firm in her faith and attended Wausau Assembly of God Church and Cornerstone Fellowship Church. Sherry was an exceptional wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She had a green thumb and loved her flowers. She was proud of her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and loved her dogs, Diesel and Bitsy. Sherry believed in giving her all to those who needed her, and never missed her monthly tithe to Pastor Jimmy Swaggart. She enjoyed a good meal, running the roads with her dear friend and neighbor, Mary, and watching the hummingbirds. She will be deeply missed and greatly remembered by her family and friends. She is now rejoicing at the feet of Jesus.

Sherry was preceded in death by her husband, Mike Richardson; her father, Edgar B. Nunnery; her mother, Frances Parker Nunnery; and her infant sister.

She is survived by her daughter, Tracey Whitehead and husband, Terry of Cottondale, FL; her son, DeWayne Richardson of Chipley, FL; her grandchildren, Tyler Richardson and wife, Mariah, Harlee Richardson, Hunter Price, Jeff Price and wife, Madison, Will Price and wife, Maddie, Tannor Whitehead and wife, Gabby, McKenize Whitehead and boyfriend, Brady; her great-grandchildren, Colton, Hudson, Waylon, Saylor, Brantley and soon to be born baby, Tycen. Sherry also leaves behind her special cousin, Dawn Leleszi of Leon County, FL; and extended family, Donnell and Edna Whitehead of Cottondale, FL.

Funeral services for Sherry will be at 2:00 P.M. Friday, January 6, 2023, at Marianna Chapel Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Blaylock officiating. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery with Marianna Chapel Funeral Home directing.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Marianna Chapel Funeral Home.
