Sharon E. Dykes, age 66, of Quincy, FL, passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at her residence. Sharon was a resident of Jackson County for forty years before moving to Quincy, FL for the past eight years.
Sharon was a devout Christian and loved helping those in need. She always had a smile on her face and believed in living life to the fullest. Her great grandbabies were her pride and joy and she spent as much time with them as possible. Sharon was blessed to meet the love of her life, Homer Ellis, and spent much time together enjoying the simple things in life like fishing and cooking for the family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dearrell Dykes; mother, Irene Monday; father, James Moore; two brothers, Kenny and Chris Monday; as well as her brother-in-law, Dennis Thomas.
Sharon is survived by the love of her life, Homer Ellis; daughter, Sheila Brown and husband, Vince; brothers, Bubba Moore and wife, Linda, Gary Moore and Jason Moore; sisters, Phyllis Rutherford, Deborah Thomas, Teresa Smith (Lynn), Delores Turner and husband, Mike; grandson, Joshua Seal and wife, Christen, great grandchildren, Kaylee, Brantley, Carter and Aubree Seal.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, February 17, 2023 at Marianna Chapel Funeral Home with Sister Eva Howell officiating. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery with Marianna Chapel Funeral Home directing.
The family will receive friends for a time of visitation one hour prior to the service at Mariana Chapel Funeral Home.
