Sara Ray Frederick, 78, of Chattahoochee, Florida died Monday, September 27, 2021, at Big Bend Hospice House in Tallahassee, Florida.
She was born November 14, 1942, in Jackson County to Dempsey and Donnie Edenfield Ray. Sara was a retired registered nurse with the State of Florida for 30 years. She was a devoted sister and aunt. Her world revolved around her nieces and nephews.
Sara was preceded in death by her parents, Dempsey and Donnie Edenfield Ray; brother, Dempsey Ray, Jr; husband, Ray Frederick; brothers-in-law, James Kite and Nathaniel Hodges; and niece-in-law, Shelia Hodges.
She is survived by her sisters, Inett Kite, Carlyon Comerford and husband, Pete, Janice Cloud and husband, Bill; nieces and nephews, Jay Kite and wife Patty, Mark Hodges, Nick Cloud and wife, Crystal, Karen Beasley and husband, Wayne, Amy Peacock and husband, Wayne; great nieces and nephews, Chad Lashley, Kyle Hodges, Jason Kite and wife, Cassie, Kaitlan Cloud, Jordan Martin and husband, Gage, Austin Livingston, Ryan Cloud, Kearston McDaniel and husband, Brett, Lillie Livingston, Austin Peacock, Kade Glisson, and Ava Cloud; great-great nieces, Laci Booth, Leigha Hodges, Alauna Hodges, and Everlee Kite, and great-great nephews Anderson Kite and Hardy Martin.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday, October 1, 2021 at James & Sikes Maddox Chapel with Rev. Gary Gable and Dallas Ellis officiating. Interment will follow in Shady Grove Cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 PM at James & Sikes Maddox Chapel.
