Sandra Jean Rabon Vickson, 64, of Marianna, Florida died Sunday, March 21, 2021 at her residence.

Ms. Vickson was born on June 7, 1956 in Marianna, Florida to the late J.B. and Willie Jean Rabon. She was a lifelong resident of Jackson County and spent most of her years in Marianna, Florida raising her children and enjoying life with family, friends, and grandchildren. She graduated from Marianna High School in 1976 and pursued her career as a Certified Nurse Assistant before becoming disabled.

To know her was to love her and she was the true definition of love. She loved her children, grandchildren, and family. She would give the shirt off her back to anyone. Sandra was the driving force of our family. Whenever we were down, she was always there to comfort us and no one else besides Jesus can be what she has been to us. She would always call to check on her children and grandchildren and would never end her call without saying, “I love you.” She will always be the queen of our hearts for all times.

Ms. Vickson was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents, Franklin Leroy (F.L.) and Lucy Hart Taylor; two aunts, Louise McKensie and Geraldine Watson; sister-in-law, Beth Rabon; nephew, Daniel Kellee; four uncles, Eddie Franklin Taylor (Dot), Aaron Brogdon, Bobby Kent, Dub Boatman; and granddaughter, Marishka Zekiah Lovett.

She is survived by five sons, Christopher Edward Rabon, Otto Jones, III, Gabrell Jones, Taurus Jones and Barry Vickson (Roxie) all of Marianna; four daughters, Ottawa Jones (James) of Tallahassee, Sophia Taylor (George) of Quincy, Sukarno Stewart (Roger) and Ebony Wooden (Deshawn) both of Marianna; one sister, Lori York of Marianna; three brothers, Julian Rabon, of Ashford, AL, Rodney Rabon and Michael Rabon, both of Marianna; three aunts, Laura Eulene Brodgon Kent, Lucy Clyde Boatman, Judy Higginbotham (Louis); special great niece, Tamla Kendall of Marianna; 21 grandchildren; one great granddaughter; and a host of nieces, nephews and relatives.
