Mark Skinner | TIMES - Saints capture Junior League Football Championship

The Vikings and Saints went head-to-head in the junior league championship title game last week at Optimist Park. The Saints had an undefeated season going into the game and they were set on keeping that claim to fame alive. They didn’t disappoint as they handed the Vikings a 25-7 loss.
Coach Tory Hussey gave his offensive line of Jack Eaton, C. J. Culpepper, Landon Cornelius, Nick Heinemann, Joshua Mercer, Hunter Scott, Waylon Snellgrove and Aidan Player a ton of credit for their blocking skills.
Scoring for the Vikings was Amari Clemons. For the Saints, it was Jalen McNeil with two long touchdown runs, while Cameron Allen had one long run for a touchdown. LaClifton Johnson had a touchdown run and a one-point conversion, along with adding some great defense and tackling throughout the game.
Congratulations to the Saints on their undefeated season and to the Vikings on finishing as runners up in the Junior League Tackle league from the publisher and staff of the Jackson County Times.
