Rodney Glenn Hewett, 55, of Sneads passed Monday, February 7, 2022 at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital.
Rodney was a lifelong peanut and cotton farmer in Jackson County. He enjoyed spending his days in the field with his two grandsons. He also enjoyed deer hunting and fishing with his best friend Theo Hobbs.
He was preceded in death by his mother Barbara Tidwell and stepmother Edna Hewett.
Rodney is survived by his wife of 36 years, Tonya Hewett; his son, Dustin Hewett of Tallahassee; daughter, Sierra Birge and grandsons, Wyatt and Easton of Sneads; his father, Bobby Hewett of Grand Ridge; stepfather Thurman Tidwell of Bascom; brother, Tim Tidwell and wife Robin of Bascom; sister, Dawn Williams and husband Chip of Marianna; brother, Jamie Hewett and wife April of Grand Ridge; brother, Brad Owens and wife Marcy of Westville; brother-in-law John Allen Coulliette and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Thursday, February 10, 2022 from 5:00-7:00 PM at Sneads Assembly of God.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, February 11, 2022 at Sneads Assembly of God with Rev. Juno Douglas officiating. Interment will follow at Rocky Grove Cemetery in Malone after the service with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.
