Robin Nathaniel Hamilton, 53, a lifelong resident of Jackson County, passed into the loving arms of Jesus at his home with his parents by his side on July 15th, 2021. He was loved and treasured by all who knew him.

Robin was born November 6, 1967, to his parents Rev. Johnny and Maxine (Basford) Hamilton. Robin, born with cerebral palsy as a result of an automobile accident that occurred during his mother’s pregnancy, has been an inspiration to all who met him.

Most recently he attended Jackson County Adult Program at Sunland. He was a1990 graduate of Hope School. His favorite activities were shopping trips with his mom and sister, trips to town with his mom and dad, and long talks with his Dad and brothers about current events. He always looked forward to going to his brother Tim’s house and helping Annette do work around the house. He loved to have people come visit him. He enjoyed his television shows, especially cooking shows, Bob Ross and the Brady Bunch. Robin always made sure the van had gas and there was milk in the fridge.

Throughout his life he inspired many with his smile, bright blue eyes and sense of humor. He was a member of Dellwood Baptist Church but attended many churches over the years as his dad was a pastor in the area.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Lorinza “Renzie” and Susie Basford; paternal grandparents, Evelyn and Charity Hamilton.

Robin is survived by his parents, Johnny and Maxine Basford Hamilton of Marianna, Florida; three siblings, Charity Jane Kotval and husband Don of Columbia, Tennessee, John M. Hamilton and Wife Lisa of Marianna, Florida, Timothy W. Hamilton and wife Annette of Marianna, Florida; three nephews, David and wife Jenny of Columbia, Missouri, Jonathan of Athens, Georgia, and Jed of Marianna, Florida.

A time of visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Providence Baptist Church.

Funeral services for Robin will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 19, 2021 at Providence Baptist Church in Grand Ridge, Florida with Reverend Mario Martinez and Pastor Charles Kleiser officiating. Interment will follow at Cow Pen Pond Cemetery in Grand Ridge, Florida.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Robin N Hamilton Scholarship Fund at the Baptist College of Florida (5400 College Dr Graceville, FL 32440) or to Gideons International (PO Box 140800 Nashville, TN 37214-0800).

McAlpin Funeral Home of Sneads, Florida is in charge of the arrangements.
