Robert (Robbie) LaDon Duke Jr., age 49, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, on Wednesday, August 30, 2023, at Flowers Hospital in Dothan, Al. He had a short battle with stage 4 colon cancer. He was born January 7, 1974, in Tallahassee, to LaDon and Alice Duke. Robbie was known for his outgoing spirit. He loved his family dearly and was always there when they needed help. He was preceded in death by his Grandparents Milton and Vonnie Duke, and his Father Robert LaDon Duke Sr. He is survived by his mother, Alice Duke; Sister, Kimberly Prescott; Daughters, Brittany Duke-Coleman (Mason Coleman), and Alexis Duke (Ben Austin); Grandchildren, Alex Nichols, Alexis Coleman, Ian Coleman, Matthew Coleman, Bentley Austin and one on the way; his nephew Blake Prescott; Significant other Dede Drummond; and a host of beloved Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. A memorial service will be held Friday, September 8, 2023, at 2:00 pm CT at the Peavy Funeral Home Chapel with the family receiving friends from 1:00 pm CT until service time. All arrangements are under the direction of Marlon Peavy at Peavy Funeral Home in Blountstown, FL.
