Ricky Neil Gurosky, 68 of Greenwood, Florida passed away Friday, July 26, 2024, at his residence. He was born to Louis Cecil and Doris June Gurosky on August 21, 1955, in Birmingham, AL.
He was a strong believer in God, family and country. He was a very devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather that served our country in the U.S. Army and Air Force. He loved nature, animals and living in a quiet rural setting. He never met a stranger and could talk to anyone about anything.
Ricky was an avid reader of science fiction and a HAM radio operator. He loved starting projects and tinkering on things, even if he didn’t know how. He also loved music, motorcycles and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis Cecil Gurosky, Doris June Brawley Gurosky; and one brother, Michael Gurosky. His survivors include his wife, Katherine Williams Gurosky; two daughters, Tommie Kay Dobbins (Henry) and Anderia Janelle White (John); and three grandchildren: Andrew Johnathan White, Samantha Allison White, and Nicolas Alexander Dobbins.
The family gathering will be private. In lieu of flowers, please donate in his name to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel in charge of arrangements.
