Richard Allan Baggett, 78 of Marianna, Florida died Tuesday, October 4, 2022, at his residence.
Allan Baggett was a graduate of Marianna High School. He worked 28 years for Georgia Pacific as a Master Welder. He was also the Union President serving in that capacity until his retirement. Allan enjoyed reading, all his pets, and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy Baggett and Edna Harrell; and one brother Donald Baggett. Allan is survived by his wife of 61 years, Rena Baggett; two sons, Steve Baggett and wife, Kristin of Dothan, Alabama, and Tim Baggett and wife, Miranda of Grand Ridge, Florida; four siblings, Pat Gilford of Tallahassee, Florida, Pam Paulk of Atlanta, Georgia, Barbara Lashua of Tallahassee, Florida and James Baggett of Tallahassee, Florida; seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Friday, October 7, 2022, at Marvin Chapel Free Will Baptist Church, Marianna, Florida. Pastor, Kelvin Johnson, officiating. Interment will follow in the church’s cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.
