Reverend James “Jim” Gosnell, age 86, of Grand Ridge, FL, went home to his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, September 7, 2022, at his residence.

Jim was born on September 9, 1935, in Goulds FL to Ocie Paul Gosnell and Beatrice Lou White (deceased). He served in the Army National Guard for 10 years. Jim retired from the Florida State Hospital, in 1998 after 16 years. He received his ministers license on July 2, 1965. He has been affiliated with the Florida Conference of the International Pentecostal Holiness Church for 50 years. Jim has pastored several churches throughout his ministerial career. He was pastor for Praise Life Center for 34 years and His last pastoral position was Senior Pastoral Advisor.

On January 19, 1979, he married Linnie (Lynn) V. Dudley Kent. They have four children together.

He was preceded in death by grandson, Tristan Gosnell; his parents and siblings.

He is survived by his wife, Lynn of 43 years; daughter, Karen and husband, Tim Thorson; three sons, Brian and wife, Rhonda Kent, James and wife, Sarah Kent, Scott and wife, Lori Gosnell; grandson’s, Joshua, Jeremy and Casey Smith; granddaughters, Allyne Smith and Allison Kent, Savanah and her husband, Ben Bridges, Caitlyn, Madilyn and Riley Kent, Sydney Gosnell; and great-grandson, JT Smith; sister-in-law, Mary Alice DeLange of Vero Beach, FL, brother-in-law, Thomas Eddie Dudley of Key Largo, FL, sister-in-law, Rosie Gosnell and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday, September 10, 2022 at Praise Life Ministries Church, 7360 Hwy 90, Grand Ridge FL, with Reverends Gary Cook and Sonny Coburn officiating. Interment will follow in Shady Grove Cemetery with Marianna Chapel Funeral Home directing.

The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 6:00 to 8:00p.m. Friday, September 9, 2022 at Marianna Chapel Funeral Home, 3960 Lafayette Street, Marianna, Florida 32446, Phone: 850-526-5059
