Rev. Braden Presley Owens, 88 of the Poplar Springs Community, Graceville, Florida entered his Heavenly home on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, from the Sims Veterans Nursing Home in Springfield, FL.
Rev. Presley was born in Holmes County, Florida on November 6, 1933, to the late John Wiley and Annie Elizabeth McDuffie Owens. A U. S. Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict, Rev. Presley retired from over 20 years with the Jackson County Road Department. He was a substitute bus driver in Holmes County after his retirement. He loved farming, growing all kinds of fruits and vegetables, raising bees and all kinds of animals. Whatever he harvested, he loved to share with friends and family. He has been a minister with the Living Word of Faith Ministry for over 50 years and served as pastor with Pine Hill Church of Bonifay, Florida for a number of those years. He was a member of Little Rock Assembly of God Church.
Preceded in death by his beloved wife of 64 years Doris Bee Jones Owens, five sons Bruce Presley Owens, Grady Lamar Owens, Terry Chris Owens, daughter-in-law Janet Bush Owens, granddaughter Caitlyn Lynn Porter, two sisters and five brothers.
Survived by five children Mashelle Owens, Mike Owens, Belinda McMath (Tripp), Anda Justice (Victor), Kevin Owens, two brothers Howard Owens (Shirley), Jimmy Owens, (Susan), fourteen grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews.
A Home-going service will be held 10 a.m., Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at Little Rock Assembly of God Church with Sis. Sherri Evans and Bro. Dale Worley officiating. Burial will follow in Owens Cemetery with James & Lipford Funeral Home in Graceville directing.
Family will receive friends at Little Rock Assembly of God Church, Monday, 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.
