Paul Douglas Pope, 54 of Bonifay, Florida passed away, Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at his residence.
Douglas was born in Pensacola, Florida on June 16, 1967. A graduate of Bethlehem High School, Class of 1985, Douglas worked with Walton County Correctional Institute for the past several years. A true cowboy through and through, Douglas loved his family, growing a garden, his horses, roping and the rodeo. His gentle kind ways will be missed by his family and friends. He was a member of Carmel Assembly of God Church.
Preceded in death by his father Paul Hubert Pope.
He is survived by his wife Lynn Miles Pope, mother Shelby Jean Pope, Bonifay; two stepsons Tyler Land, Graceville, Garrett Land, Bonifay; three brothers Rodney Pope (Wanda), Gregory Pope (Cindy), Bonifay, Jeffrey Pope (Sandy), Westville; a host of nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of His Life will be held 3 p.m., Sunday, August 29, 2021 at Carmel Assembly of God Church with Bro. Jerry Moore and Bro. Josh Hodge officiating, James & Lipford Funeral Home in Graceville directing.
Family will receive friends at Carmel Assembly of God Church Sunday, 2 p.m. until time of service.
