One arrested on warrants from Alachua County

During the early morning hours of October 07, 2020 at approximately 02:30AM the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch center received a request from the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office to attempt to locate a stolen Mercedes vehicle, which was being told to them to be abandoned on CollegeDrive in Graceville, FL. The location of the suspect, reported to be Richard Robinson, was unknown to the requesting agency and currently had active felony warrants for Aggravated Assault with Deadly Weapon, Domestic Battery, and Grand Theft of Motor Vehicle.Deputies, along with a Graceville Police Department Officer, responded to the area where they located the vehicle in question along with a subject standing beside the vehicle. After making contact with the subject he was identified as Richard Robinson. Robinson was quickly detained and taken into custody without incident and transported to the Jackson County Correctional Facility to await extradition.


Arrested:Richard Lynn Robinson, 40 years of age, Resident of Newberry, FL.


Charges: Active Felony Warrants for: Aggravated Assault with Deadly Weapon, Domestic Battery, and Grand Theft of Motor Vehicle
