One arrested for felony theft

During the morning hours of Saturday, November 7, 2020, the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office communications center received a report of a retail theft at the TA Truckstop on Highway 71 South. Information relayed to dispatch was a white male had fled from the business with merchandise in his hands that had not been paid for. A detailed description of the male was given to dispatch and relayed to the responding depituies. Upon Deputy arrival, a subject matching the given description was observed in a woodline South of the TA, North of Rocky Creek Road. Upon contact by the Deputy with the subject, the subject fled into the wooded area. During a canvas of the area, a deputy observed the subject walking down a driveway on Rocky Creek Road. The subject still had the merchandise in his possession at the time. The subject, identified as Joshua Reagan, was detained and subsequently arrested. Reagan was taken to the Jackson County Correctional Facility without further incident.
