Nellie B. Edmond or “Honey Bunch”, of Panama City, Florida, on Friday, October 28th 2022, God whispered, “Nellie, Honey Bunch, my dear, you have fought a great fight, and your fight is over. So come on home and rest.” She peacefully answered God’s call.
She was affectionately called, was born September 12th 1955, to Ms. Lucille Edmond Sims (deceased) and Mr. Ester Everett, Jr. (deceased).
She received her formal education in the public schools of Bay County, Florida. She was lovingly brought up in a Christian home by her great-grandparents: Mr. Buck and Mrs. Hattie Mae Green (deceased) of Bay Harbor, Florida.
At an early age, “Honey Bunch” gave her life to Christ and later became a member of Free Spirit Community Church, under the leadership of Pastor Darryl Kelly, where she loved to hear her pastor sing and her church family. And nothing pleased her more than spending time with her family and friends.
She was also preceded in death by her grandmother: Emma Mae Dorsey Brooks; brother: Tory Lamore; sister: Lanora Sims; and aunts: Hattie Rivers, Bonita White and Alberta Burton.
On Friday, October 28th 2022, God whispered, “Nellie, Honey Bunch, my dear, you have fought a great fight, and your fight is over. So come on home and rest.” She peacefully answered God’s call.
Fond memories will forever live on in the hearts of her daughter and her grands. She leaves to mourn a daughter: Cynithia Yvette Edmond Turner of Panama City, Florida; grandchildren: Cynikeia J. Bostwick, Cynikeia T. Bostwick and Cyntherria J. Turner all of Panama City, Florida; one great grandson: Jasyis N. Bostwick of Panama City, Florida; siblings: a devoted sister: Martha A. Nelson of Panama City, Florida, Tony Everett, Peter “Pee Wee” Everett, Ester “Cricket” Everett all of Newark, New Jersey; a devoted niece: Marquita Fagin; two devoted nephews: Sedrekus Nelson, Sr., Rickey (she helped raised as her own); one great nephew: Sedrekus Nelson, Jr.; aunts: Cleo Mathis, Debbie Collins and Pamela Young all of Panama City, Florida, Mae Lee White of Gastonia, North Carolina; uncles: Charlie Collins and Larry Collins Atlanta, Georgia; a host of cousins, friends and loved ones.
Public visitation will be 10:00 AM until funeral time of 11:00 AM, Saturday, November 12, 2022 at the House of Hope Church, 1700 East 11th Street, Panama City, Florida. She will be laid to rest in the Redwood Cemetery in Panama City under the directions of Christian Memorial Chapel of Graceville, Florida.
