Nancy Lee Peal, 67, of Alford, FL, passed away Saturday, October 1, 2022, in Dothan AL. She was born in Ohio, then moved to Los Angeles County, CA and spent most of her life throughout Antelope Valley area, until she moved to Chipley, FL in 1996.
Nancy spent most of her life around Chipley, Cottondale and eventually moved to Alford, where she lived with her husband, Arthur, son, Steven and her 2 dogs, Pepper and Odie. She loved animals, especially when it came to her pet dogs and cows in general. Nancy had an amazing sense of humor and was always ready with a joke, riddle or prank. She loved movies and had amazing taste in music.
She was preceded in death by her father, Holzer Bryan “Ted” Shoemaker and mother, Marie Fassnacht (Whitt); and her sisters, Ruth Ann Guy and Rita Kay.
Nancy is survived by her husband, Arthur Horton; sons, David Peal (Jessica Peal), Steven Peal; daughter, Sue Peal (Newman Collins); grandchildren, Dami Peal, Gabriel Peal, Ellizabella Peal, Ian Bishop, Owen Bishop, Alexianna Taro, and Tessa Davis; her brother, Michael Shoemaker (Amy); nieces, Cheryl Kazlaskas, Tracy Killison, Wendy Guy, Tammy and Bonnie; and nephews, Johhny and Kenny; and a host great nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be Saturday, October 15, 2022, at 4:00 PM at 2925 Cherokee St., Marianna, FL.
