Myrtle M. Patterson, age 100, of Marianna, FL, passed away on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at The Signature Healthcare at the Courtyard.
Myrtle was born on February 17, 1922 in Marianna, FL, to the late Charlie and Ella Medlock Mayo. She graduated from Marianna High School. Throughout her lifetime she worked at the Peanut Mill, the Saw Mill, Banner’s Building Supply and Chipola Building Supply, where she retired.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Patterson; her parents, Charlie and Ella Mayo; her brothers, Carl Mayo, Genous (Dean) Mayo, Charles (Jack) Mayo, James Mayo and wife Katherine; and her sister, Marie Joiner and husband Willie.
Myrtle is survived by her sons, William (Billy) Patterson and wife Gail of Pace, FL; Robert (Bobby) Patterson and wife Linda of Marianna, FL; her daughter, Sharon Patterson of Malone, FL; her grandchildren, Phillip Perkins of Sacramento, CA, Amy Blackburn and husband William of Panama City, FL; her great grandchildren, Zach Perkins, Madison Blackburn, Shelby Blackburn, and Peyton Blackburn. She will also be missed by a host of nieces and nephews.
Per her wishes, a private service will be held with immediate family at a later date with Marianna Chapel Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
The family would like to personally thank Jessica, Tequila, Anna and others at Signature Healthcare at the Courtyard for the care they gave Myrtle.
