After a courageous battle with cancer, Myrtle Louise Fields Oliver entered into her eternal home in heaven on Saturday, July 30, 2022.

She was born Myrtle Louise Simpson on April 8, 1935 to parents William and Lucille Simpson in Sidney, NY. She attended John Marshall High School in Richmond, VA. In 1992, she retired from her position of Jewelry Department Manager with the J.C. Penney store in Richmond to prepare for her move to Florida.

Myrtle is predeceased by her parents, her husbands, Ray Fields and Rudolph Oliver; sister, Pat Balsley; brother, William Simpson; niece, Rhonda Finchum.

She is survived by her loving family; her son, Daniel Ray (daughter-in-law Donna); sisters, Lenora, Maria Elena; nieces, Lenore, Sherron, Theresa, Kathy, Phyllis and Becky; nephews, Robert and Butch; grandchildren: Danny (wife Erin), Lyndsey (husband Shawn), Eryn (fiancée Mark), Gene (wife Michelle); great-grandchildren, Bailey, Lainey, Cooper, Tanner and Ryker.

A special sincere thanks to all of the devoted caregivers; Jeannie, Hilda, Michelle and Mary Faye.

A memorial honoring Myrtle’s life will be held for family and friends at her church, Carmel Assembly of God, 1485 Carmel Road, Bonifay, Florida on Monday, August 22, 2022, at 11 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that all donations be made in her memory to her church.
