Ms. Sarah Louise Sorey age 94 of Campbellton, FL passed away Tuesday December 15th at her home surrounded by her loving family. Graveside funeral services were held 2p.m. Saturday December 19th at the St. Paul- New Bethel Cemetery in Campbellton located 5180 Hwy 273 with Presiding Elder Oscar Massey, Bishop Flavious Pittman, Rev. Lloyd Ned and Minister Douglas Cotton officiating and with McKinnie Funeral Home of Campbellton, FL directing.
Sarah Louise Sorey was born December 29, 1925 to the late Emanuel Hall and The late Fannie B. Curry in Campbellton, Florida. She confessed Christ at an early age and joined New Bethel CME Church in Campbellton, Florida. She was married to the late Ishmel Sorey. She worked for the Jackson County School System in the cafeteria at Graceville High school and retired after many years faithful service.
She loved cooking, baking, fishing, gardening and spending time with her children and grand- children.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters: Alvidis, LeAnna and Versie; grand-children: Christopher, Corey and Bridget.
She leaves cherished memories with; three children: Grace Taylor, Alice Keith and Charles (Jamaker) Sorey, Sr.; one sister: Vera D. McCaskill; seven grandchildren: Sherman, Latrena, Lasonza (Coy), Shawn (Dina), Tamra, Charles, Jr. and Camisha (Ron); fourteen great-grandchildren: Shermontae, Shavon, Sharone, Ashley, Inaya, Al’Zumar, Al’Sura, Nia, Joshua, Christopher, Jeremy, Terryanah, Tyler and Elijawaun; nine great-great-grandchildren: Aiden, Zachary, Zakiya, Freedom, Justice, Jayden, A’mera, Audrey and Amarion; four sisters-in-law, two brothers-in-law and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
