Ms. Mary Elizabeth Johnson

Ms. Mary Elizabeth Johnson was born on February 14, 1943 to the late Jake Tripp and the late Ethel Russ Johnson in Cottondale, Florida. She served as a class leader, the President of Choir #2, Sunbeam Choir, Member of the Kitchen Committee, Trustee, Sunday Morning Band #363 member, and on the Usher Board.

Ms. Johson was preceded in death by her son, Gregory B. Johnson. She worked at Warner Brothers, Jackson Aparel, Hardee’s, and West Point Stevens. She enjoyed cooking Sunday meals for her church, family and friends. She was known for baking the infamous “5 Flavored Pound Cake” and the “Honey Bun Cake”. Her favorite place was sitting on her back porch with family and friends. She greeted everyone with a big smile and always made sure you did not leave her home hungry or without a plate. She loved singing her favorite songs “Writing God a Letter” and “Lord I’ve done what you told me to do!” Mary will be missed by her dear loved ones.
