Ms. Lillie Hopkins of Greenwood, Florida, on Thursday, January 20, 2022, she answered the ultimate call from her Lord and Savior.

Mrs. Hopkins was born on Thursday, March 6, 1924 in Campbellton, Florida to Lee Henderson and Girlsey Capehart Clark.

She confessed Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and joined Springfield African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church, Marianna, Florida. Later she moved to Tuscaloosa, Alabama and joined Tabernacle African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church serving on the Usher Board for six years; served on the Deaconess Board until her health failed. She then returned back home with her family and reunited with her home church, Springfield African Methodist Episcopal Church, Marianna, Florida.

She was joined in Holy Matrimony for thirty-one years to Mr. Floyd Hopkins. She was employed at Druid City Hospital, Tuscaloosa, Alabama in the Laboratory Department for twenty-seven years full-time and four years part-time.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Ms. Hopkins is survived by her sisters: Luvenia Jennings and Meltoria Clark, Greenwood, Florida; stepsons: Frank Hopkins of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; grandchildren: Lavester Hopkins, Tim Hopkins, Sr., Cindy Giles, Althea Gordon; a host of great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Graveside services were held at 11 AM, Monday, January 24, 2022 at the Springfield AME Church Cemetery with the Reverend Hollis McClendon officiating, under the directions of Christian Memorial Chapel of Graceville, Florida.
