Ms. Leola Holland Johnson of Lynn Haven and formerly of Marianna, gained her wings on Mon. Aug. 29th in the Chipola Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was 87 years old.

She was of the Baptist faith and a member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Lynn Haven. She served as a deaconess, a member of the senior mission and later became the Mother of the church.

She leaves a legacy of love with one daughter, Rosa (Issac) Lewis of Sarasota, Florida; one son, Tony (LaJoy) Johnson of Lynn Haven; one godson, Solomon (Eugena) Nelson of Lynn Haven, Florida; three granddaughters, Teresa Stanley of Sarasota, Florida, Nikia Johnson of Atlanta, Georgia and Alliyah Johnson of Mobile, Alabama; two grandsons, Michael Stanley of Sarasota, Florida and To’Corey (Cheresse) Kelley of Atlanta, Georgia; one sister, Ella Holden of Marianna, Florida and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Homegoing services will be Sat. Sept 3, at 2p.m. at New Hope MB Church in Lynn Haven with Rev. Clay Long, Rev. Claude Holden, Rev. Richard Holland and Rev. Joe Killings officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Olive Cemetery in Marianna with arrangements entrusted to the Caring Staff at Peoples Funeral Home of Marianna.
