Ms. Laura L. Ham, age 73, of Marianna, FL, passed away on Monday, December 20, 2021 at Jackson Hospital.
Laura was born July 21, 1948 in Norfolk, VA to the late Robert and Dorothy Smith. She moved to Jackson County, FL as a young girl and began a career at the Florida State Hospital for many years. Laura was also employed for more than 30 years at Sunland, working as a BPS Supervisor until retirement. She attended Sneads First United Methodist Church. Laura enjoyed cross stitching, crocheting, and decorating for any holiday that she had an opportunity to do so.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Debbie Thigpen.
Laura is survived by her daughter, Amy Rowell and husband, Michael of Marianna; grandchildren, Kayla, Hanna, and Mason Rowell; nephew, Joshua Thigpen; and niece, Kitty Thigpen.
A private family graveside service will be in Dykes Cemetery with Marianna Chapel Funeral Home directing.
The family would like to thank the caring staff at Jackson Hospital for the love and support shown to Laura during this time.
