Ms. Jakara L. Reed-Taylor age 40 of Panama City, FL passed away Friday July 10th at the Gulf Coast Regional Medical Center in Panama City, FL surrounded by her loving family.
Graveside funeral services were held 11a.m. Saturday July 18th at St. Luke Memorial Gardens located 4900 Jackson Community Rd. Vernon, FL with Bishop Randy E. Williams, Bishop J.O. Brown Jr., Evangelist Anita Dillard and Eulogist Pastor Parnell Smith Sr. officiating and with Mckinnie Funeral Home of Campbellton, FL directing.
A public viewing were held from 3 to 6 p.m. Friday July 17th at the Shi’ra Sr. and Chelcie Memorial Chapel.
On November 1, 1979, a beautiful flower began to blossom beginning the life of Jakara LaToya Reed-Taylor. She was the youngest child of the late Arthur and Effie Reed in Panama City, Florida.
Christian Life
She accepted Christ at an early age. She was active member of McQueen Temple First Born Church. She later joined New Bethel Missionary Baptist church under the leadership of Pastor Parnell Smith, Sr. where she served faithfully as the Assistant Director of New Bethel Academy.
Life Summary
LaToya as she was affectional known to many: was a very friendly person; always displaying a ready smile. LaToya had a love for people, a positive attitude, and a great sense of humor. To all that really knew her loved her for the beautiful person she really was. She proudly graduated from Vernon High School in 1998. After graduation, she married James Taylor II and to that union she was blessed with a loving, beautiful daughter who she cherished to her dying day. Nyra was and always will be her mother’s true love.
She leaves to cherish her memories: daughter Nyra Danielle Taylor of Panama City, Fl: three brothers: Pastor Arthur Paul (Evangelist Sigrid) Reed, Jr. of Marianna Fl: Cornelius Andrae (Kimya) Reed of Panama City, Fl: Eric (Lola) Lampley of Chipley, Fl: nine nieces and nephews Yasmine, Brian, Marcus, Destini, Keonne, Shamari, Omari, Amber and Eric; and a host of aunties, uncles, extend relatives, and friends and a devoted friend, Steve Cumming.
