Ms. Florence L Sims, age 82, of Greenwood, Florida transitioned from life temporal to life eternal on Monday, October 23, 2023, at her residence.
Ms. Sims was a member of Mt. Tabor Missionary Baptist Church in Marianna, Florida, and a graduate of the former Union Grove High School in Greenwood, Florida.
Homegoing Celebration of Life services will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2023, at 11:00 AM from the sanctuary of Mt. Tabor Missionary Baptist Church located at 3695 Poplar Spring Road in Marianna, Florida, with Rev. Isaac Williams, Minister Travis Ephriam, Minister Norris Calhoun and Rev. Dwight Cockerham Sr., officiating.
Vann Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Interment will be in the church cemetery.
Ms. Sims will lie repose at the church from 10:00 AM until time for the service.
A public viewing will be held on Friday October 27, 2023, from 2:00 to 5:00 PM at Vann Funeral Home.
Ms. Sims leaves to cherish a lifetime of fond, yet precious memories, a loving and devoted family:
Three Sisters: Lillian Harvey of Dunedin, Florida, Cozene (Oscar) Waddell of Tallahassee, Florida and Queen Baker of Greenwood, Florida
Two Brothers: George (Betty) Sims and Leo Sims both of Greenwood, Florida
She is also survived by the Emerald Coast Hospice family.
