Ms. Carrie Godwin of Greenwood, Florida gained her heavenly wings on January 23, 2022 at home surrounded by her loving and caring family. She was 82 years of age.
She was of the Baptist Faith and a member of Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church.
She leaves cherished memories with two daughters, Diann Coleman of Tampa, Florida and Tanuia Simmons and husband Melvin of Marianna, Florida; two sons, Roger Godwin and Otis Godwin, Jr. both of Marianna, Florida; 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; one brother, Lynwood Garrett of Greenwood, Florida; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
A Homegoing Celebration will be held graveside Saturday, January 29th at 12 noon at Pleasant Hill Church Cemetery with Rev. Wallace Godwin and Rev. William Harvey officiating. Interment will follow with arrangements entrusted to the Caring Staff at Peoples Funeral Home of Marianna.
