Ms. Beddie Collins Martin, of Marianna, Florida gained her wings on April 5th, 2023 at Jackson Hospital. She was 75 years old.
Beddie was born on April 20, 1947, in Gordon, Ala to the late Addis Collins Jr. & Catherine Bell Collins. Beddie accepted Christ at an early age. She became a Union Hill M.B.C. member after moving to Marianna Fl.
Beddie graduated from St. Paul High School in Campbellton Fl. She enjoyed cooking and making sure when she cooked everyone ate and saying ” NO” was not an option for Beddie. She was a giving person, and she enjoyed her family.
She leaves precious memories to be cherished by three children: Shelia Delores Martin Hogans, (John) of Marianna Florida, Bruce Elliott Martin of Marianna, Florida, and Kelvin Kasina Martin of Panama City, Florida; loving adopted daughter, Evangelist Michelle D. Edwards of Panama City, Florida; eight grandchildren, Juaquita Lecole, My’Keese Michele, Lesabre Samara, Ma’Kai-yah Denice, Keandre, Chosen, Marques Tre’Shaun, and Abrielle T’anna; adopted granddaughter, Shawnie Sheffield of Panama City, Florida; three great-grandchildren, DeAvion, Layla, and Klaay. three sisters, Mariah Knox of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Mary Ann Griffin (Willie) of Marianna, Florida and Mazie Mount of Malone, Florida; one brother: Larry Collins of Campbellton, Florida. one brother-in-law: Laymond Martin of Campbellton, Florida; bonus sister, Gwen S. Long of Marianna, Florida; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Family will receive friends on Friday, April 14th from 5-7p.m. at Peoples Funeral Home Chapel.
A Homegoing Celebration will be held Saturday, April 15th at 11:00a.m. at Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Eric Griffin and Evangelist Michelle D. Edwards officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with arrangements entrusted to the Caring Staff at Peoples Funeral Home of Marianna. Expressions of sympathy can be submitted at peoplesfuneralhm.com.
