Mrs. Willie B. Bostic age 84 of Campbellton, FL passed away Thursday June 10th at her residence with her loving family by her side.
A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, June 19th at the Shi’ra Sr. and Chelcie McKinnie Memorial Chapel located at 5304 Bowden Hill Road Campbellton, FL, with Reverend Obadiah White officiating and McKinnie Funeral Home of Campbellton, FL directing. Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery Jacob City, FL.
A public visitation for family and friends will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. Friday, June 18th at the Shi’ra Sr. and Chelcie McKinnie Memorial Chapel located at 5304 Bowden Hill Road Campbellton, FL.
Willie B. Bostic was born on November 8, 1936 to the late Thomas J. Jones and the late Allie B. Ward-Jones in Campbellton, FL (Stateline Community). She was raised in a home Christian by her parents and grandmother (Pearlie Kirkland-Ward).
She accepted Christ at an early age at New Bethel CME Church in Campbellton, FL. She Married Hebrew Pittman in 1958 and became member of the St. Mary Baptist Church family. In 1959 she moved to Buffalo, NY and became a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church family. In 1964 she was selected “Mother of the Year” by the Greater Buffalo Evening News. After returning to Campbellton, FL, she reestablished herself with her St. Mary Baptist family where she served faithfully until her health began to fail.
In 1955 she graduated from St. Paul High School as an honor student. She completed the Laboratory Technician Aide program offered by the veterans hospital in Buffalo, NY. She completed the Nursing Assistant program offered by Florida Panhandle Technical College in Chipley, FL. She received certification certificates for Behavior Management & Mental Retardation, and Professional Healthcare from Chipola College in Marianna, FL.
She was preceded in death by her husband(s): Hebrew Pittman, James D. Miller, Sr. and Willie Lee Bostic; one child: Henry Charles Pittman and her parents.
She leaves cherished memories with, her children: Mitchell Allen Bowden (Simone), Gloria Rouhlac (Victor), Michael Anthony Pittman (Lucy), Thomas Jerome Pittman, James Daniel Miller, Jr. (Lori), Bob Allen Bostic (Chastity), and Charles Anthony Bostic (Katrina); 14 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, a devoted nephew: Herman Charles Grandberry; special niece (just like a daughter): Yvonne McKinnie; beloved daughter-in-law: Regina Bowden; my helper, best friend (Nephew): Nick; 2 brothers-in-law: Fredrick and Larry Pittman; 2 sisters-in-law: Floy Pittman and Joyce Ann Lewis; (just like a daughter): Barbra Calhoun and a host of other relatives and friends.
