In humble submission to the will of God, we respectfully announce the earthly transition of Mrs. Mary Louise Booker of Chipley, FL. She was 74 years old and a life-long native of Chipley, FL.
Mary was born on January 26, 1946 to Wilmon David & Louise (Harmon) Potter. Being raised in a Christian home, she accepted Christ as her personal Savior and was reared and a devoted member of the St. Joseph A.M.E. Church of Chipley, FL. She was a woman of many talents and gifts, always willing to teach and do whatever she could to impact the life of someone. She was a wonderful caregiver for many people in the community and loved to be with her family and friends.
She leaves to cherish her memories a beloved son: Fred Rico Booker III of Panama City, FL; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; sister: Zella Deborah (Frederick) Brown of Chipley, FL; two brothers: Earnest Wilmon (Barbara) Potter of Chipley, Fl and Lonnie (Vicky) Potter of Marietta, GA; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Mary’s Life & Committal Service will be held 3 PM CST, Saturday, January 16, 2021 from the sacred grounds of the St. Joseph AMEC Cemetery of Chipley, FL with her son, Rev. Fred R. Booker III, officiating. A Public-Walk Through Viewing will be held from 12-5 PM CST, Friday, January 15, 2021 in the Cooper Funeral Home & Florist of Chipley, FL.
