Mrs. Mae Eva Owens age 87 of Dothan, AL passed away Sunday, July 19th at Southeast Health Medical Center.
A Graveside service were held 3 p.m. July 23rd at the Gates of Heaven Cemetery located at 2106 Starling Road Dothan, AL with Pastor Vincent Owens officiating. Mckinnie Funeral Home of Campbellton, FL directing Mae Eva Owens was born on January 13, 1933 to the late Richard Scott, Sr. and the late Cora Tyson Scott.
Mae grew up in Dothan, Al and graduated from Caver High School in the year of 1951. A virtuous woman of many hats, she adorned a royal crown that embedded her true dedication to Christ, service to her church/community, motherly love, and sharing her many talents.
On 19 July 2020, St Peter added Mae’s name to the list of Angels that preceded her… Eunice Grant Owens (husband of 24 years). Richard Scott Sr. (Father), Cora Tyson Scott (Mother). Siblings preceding her were Ollie B. Jones, Richard Scott Jr., Nellie Mae Allen, Fronnie Mae Turner, Susie Mae Pugh, and Edgar Scott. She was the last of her siblings to gain her Heavenly Wings. She leaves to cherish her loving memory, three devoted nieces; Delane (Edward) Jett, Jennifer Fleming-Hollis both of Dothan, Al, Viola LaShae Pugh-Shivers of Norcross, GA, nephew; Tommy Turner of Dothan, Al, along with many other nieces, nephews, and sorrowful friends.
