Mr. Willie Smith, Sr. of Geneva, Florida and formerly of Grand Ridge entered into eternal rest on Friday, September 25 in the Orlando Regional Medical Center in Orlando. He was 77 years old.
He was of the Baptist faith and a member of New Zion Primitive Baptist Church. He was the owner of Smith Floor Maintenance Company.
He leaves treasured memories with his wife, Emma Mae Smith of Geneva, Florida; two sons, Willie Smith, Jr. and wife Kesha of Sanford, Florida and Reginald Smith and wife Kamesha of Geneva, Florida; one daughter, LaSandra Smith Cooper and husband Garnell of Geneva, Florida; four sisters, Mary Hearn of Greenwood, Florida, Floyzell Smith, Uzell Lewis and Salone Robinson all of Grand Ridge, Florida; his mother-in-law, Lettie C. White of Greenwood, Florida; and a host of grands, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, in-laws and friends.
A public viewing will be held Friday, October 2nd from 4-7 at Peoples Funeral Home Chapel.
A homegoing celebration will be held graveside 11:00a.m. Saturday, October 3rd at Pleasant Hill Cemetery with Pastor Randy McMillan officiating. Interment will follow with arrangements entrusted to the Caring Staff at Peoples Funeral Home of Marianna.
