Mr. Ricky Lamar Olds age 60 of Cottondale, FL and formerly of Campbellton passed away Friday January 21, 2022 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 29th at the Shira Sr. and Chelcie McKinnie Memorial Chapel located 5304 Bowden Hill Rd Campbellton, Florida, with Reverend Oscar Massey officiating, interment will follow in St Paul/New Bethel Cemetery located 5180 Hwy 273 Campbellton, FL with McKinnie Funeral Home of Campbellton, Florida directing.
A public viewing will be held from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, January 28, 2022 at the funeral home.
Ricky was born May 13, 1961 in Campbellton, FL to Chero Sr. and Eve Olds.
Ricky grew up in New Bethel C.M.E. Church where he was an active member; his education consisted of attending and graduating from Graceville High in 1979. He joined the Army in 1979, where he served his country 15 plus years. Ricky married his high school sweetheart Ms. Maxine “Chris” Weatherington in 1990 and later married Deborah Patterson.
He was preceded in death by: His wife: Maxine Olds; His father: Chero Olds Sr.; His sister: Cherrie Etta Planter; His brothers: Chero Jr. and James Olds; and His nephew: Derek Brown.
Lifetime of cherish his memories: One daughter: Tiffany Ward of St. Petersburg, FL; two grandchildren: Janai and Carter Ward of St. Petersburg, FL; mother: Eve Olds of Campbellton, FL; two sisters: Loretta Olds Brown of Jacksonville, FL and Kasundra Olds of Campbellton, FL; three brothers: Bruce and Alan Olds of Campbellton, FL; and Ronnie Olds of Jacksonville, FL; three nieces; eight nephews; five great nieces; one great nephew; Special sister: Helen Faxon, One Sister In Law: Lenora Olds and a host of other loving relatives and many sorrowful friends.
