Mr. Nelson Henry Hill Sr., of Jacksonville, Florida, formerly of Jackson County, Florida, transitioned from life temporal to life eternal on Sunday, October 17, 2021, in Jacksonville, Florida.


Nelson was employed with Jacksonville Shipyard for over thirty-years as a paint laborer. Nelson helped build the Chattahoochee Bridge located in Georgia. Nelson enjoyed sitting on the docks and going fishing. He found that to be his relaxing time.

Celebration of Life services will be held on Saturday, October 30, 2021, at 2:00 PM from the sanctuary of First United Methodist Church located at 2901 Caledonia Street in Marianna, Florida where the Reverend Doctor Nathan Altwood is pastor with the Reverend Christopher Bryant, officiating.

Mr. Hill will lie in repose at the church from 1:00 PM until time for the service.

Interment will be in the Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery, located at 4895 River Road, Bascom, Florida.

Center for Disease Control (CDC) Guidance regarding the wearing of mask and social distancing will be required for who attend the service.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories a loving and devoted family.

His loving wife, Dorothy Hill; Seven Sons: Nelson, Jr. (Beauty), Edwin Robert (Terri), Louis (Kane), Warren (Bernice), Gregory (Jennifer), and Moses: Two Daughters: Brenda (Frank) and Gwen; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other family members.
