Mr. Louis Benjamin Daniels affectionately known by all as “Buddy” of Grand Ridge, FL entered eternal rest on Friday, March 4, 2022, at his residence with his son, Garry at his side.

Buddy was born January 30, 1932 to Jim Bob and Sarah Lou Daniels in Dellwood, FL.  He was the youngest of 12 siblings all of whom preceded him in death.  He was reared in a loving and hard-working family. Buddy was a true family man that enjoyed nothing more than to be with his family and friends fishing, hunting or spending good quality time with “Sister” his daughter, Deborah, “Bud” his son, Garry, his grandsons, Jason and Jeremy and his granddaughters, Timberlynn and Brantlee.

Buddy loved the Lord and faithfully attended the Sneads Assembly of God Church in Sneads, FL under the leadership of Pastor Juno Douglas.

He met the love of his life, Dorothy Bland and on March 17, 1954, he married her, and they shared 42 wonderful years together.  In April of 1996, his Dorothy passed away and for the rest of his life Buddy longed for the day that he and Dorothy could be together again.  He is now with his beloved Dorothy.

Buddy was a hard-working man that did much of his work himself around the house. He was a painter by trade and was employed at Florida State Hospital where he retired after 38 years of service.

In addition to his parents, his siblings, and his beloved Dorothy, he was also preceded in death by his son-in-law, Mike Barber in 2020, a son to him indeed.

Precious memories will forever be with his loving and devoted family, daughter, Deborah Barber of Marianna, FL; son, Garry Daniels of Grand Ridge, FL; grandsons, Jason Barber and Jeremy Barber; and his great granddaughters, Timberlynn and Brantlee Barber all of Marianna, FL; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives, along with his poker playing friends and the breakfast and lunch gang at Blondie’s in Grand Ridge, FL.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, March 7, 2022 at Marianna Chapel Funeral Home with Reverends Juno Douglas and Clinton Howell officiating. Interment will follow in Carpenter Cemetery with Marianna Chapel Funeral Home directing.

The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of service at Marianna Chapel Funeral Home.Condolences may be made online at www.mariannachapelfh.com
