Mr. Limmie Jerome Olds also known as “GABBY” age 67 of Campbellton, FL passed away peacefully on May 21, 2023 at Flower’s Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday May 27th at New Bethel C.M.E. Church located at 2487 Hwy 2 Campbellton, Florida with Presiding Elder Oscar M. Massey, Elder Carl Sorey, eulogist and Elder James M. Bighem officiating and with McKinnie Funeral Home of Campbellton directing.
Public viewing for family and friends will be held from 3- 6p.m. Friday, May 26th at the Shira Sr. and Chelcie McKinnie Memorial Chapel located at 5304 Bowden Hill Road Campbellton, FL.
Limmie Olds was born in Jackson County on February 9, 1957 to Jethro Olds Sr and Helen Blue, he accepted Christ at an early age and he loved the Lord. He worked at Alliance Laundry for many years as a supervisor until they went out or business, he later went on to work at John Sioliou Offshore Drilling Company as the assistant chef until he retired due to medical reason. Limmie loved cooking and feeding people.
He was preceded in death by his brother: Larry Olds and father-in law: Fred Sorey Sr.
He leaves cherishable memories to his wife: Dixie Jewell Olds; children: Michelle Sorey (Alvin), Erica Olds; grandchild: Kayla and Gabrielle Sorey, E’Manii Olds Bell, E’Than Gammons; parents: Jethro and Helen Olds: siblings: Jethro Olds Jr. (Vivian), Raymond Olds (Cynthia), Culton Olds, Patricia Olds (Nelson); mother-in-law: Elnora Sorey; adopted son: Travis Russ; god sister: Estoria Slack (Carey); in-laws: Rev Henry Taylor (Alice), Albert Sorey (Catherine), Terether Williams (Sylvester), Charles Curry (Cynthia), Fred Sorey Jr. (Gail), Willie Lou Hodge (Lee Norris) Linda Snell (Dallas), Benjamin Sorey (Dorothy), Lenora Olds (William); extended family: The Britt and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members and friends who loved him dearly.
