Mr. Julian C. Daniels age 43 of Atlanta, GA and formerly of Campbellton, FL passed away Tuesday February 28, 2023. Funeral services will be held 1p.m. Saturday March 11, 2023 at Shira Sr. and Chelcie Memorial Chapel located 5304 Bowden Hill Rd Campbellton, FL with the Reverend Earnestine Daniels officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Paul-New Bethel Cemetery located 5180 Hwy 273 Campbellton, FL with Military and Fire Fighters Honors and with Mckinnie Funeral Home of Campbellton, FL directing. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday March 10th at the funeral home.

Julian Cornelius Daniels was a loved son born to the union of Truman and Earlene Daniels, on November 26, 1979 at Darnall Army Hospital at Fort Hood, in Killeen, TX. Six weeks later the family moved to Hanau, Germany where they lived until Julian was four. Julian attended primary school in Jackson County, FL and graduated from Marianna High School in 1999. While at Marianna High, Julian earned All-City Recognition for Basketball.

Following high school Julian enlisted in the Marine Corp Reserves on Oct 12, 1999. He was stationed at Camp Lejeune, NC and Parris Island, SC where he trained as a Machine Gunner. While at Parris Island, he earned the Marksman Rifle Badge and received a Good Conduct Medal. While in the Marine Corp Reserves, Julian modeled in New York, NY for various advertising campaigns, including one for the Marine Corp. Julian served proudly in the Marine Corp Reserves until August 9, 2007.

Julian moved to Atlanta in 2001 where he attended Fire Fighter School and became a Fire Fighter on February 28, 2005. His decision to become a Fire Fighter was governed by his desire to help people and give back to the community. While working as a Fire Fighter, Julian undertook Emergency Medical Training and added the role of Paramedic to his life’s service to the community. He served as a Fire Fighter for 18 years and during that time he received numerous awards and accolades for his service to the citizens of Cobb County. That recognition includes: Life Saving Awards, Unit Citation Awards, and an Administrative Commendation Award in 2018 for service above and beyond. He has also been nominated for EMT of the Year for 2022.

In addition to serving his community, Julian was a dedicated humanitarian. He truly loved people. He never met a stranger……

In 2010 Julian met and fell in love with Ursula Keyes, and on April 8, 2011 the two welcomed to this world, their beloved son Julian Jr. Even though a few years later Julian and Ursula separated; their loving affection and commitment to their son Julian remained strong.

In 2014 Julian met and fell in love with Mary Laughery. On December 29,2016 God blessed Julian and Mary with a beautiful baby girl, Murphie. Nearly two years later on August 16, 2018 the couple received their second blessing – a precious baby girl, Bellamie. Even though the couple eventually separated after 8 years as a family, their loving commitment to their girls remained unchanged.

Julian leaves behind to cherish his memory: Children: son Julian, daughters Murphie and Bellamie. Parents: Truman and Earlene Daniels. Siblings: Alan (Kecia) Daniels, Africa Daniels, Truman (Jeslyn) Daniels, Philip (Leah) Daniels Nieces: Logan Daniels, China Daniels, Ataliah Daniels, Alora Daniels Nephews: Johnston (Kendra) Daniels of Canada, Mason Daniels, Maddox Daniels, Truman Daniels III, Carver Daniels, Cohen Daniels, Tatum Daniels and a number of great nieces, great nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and colleagues.
