Mr. Elmon Don Trueblood age 66 of Marianna, FL passed away Monday December 26, 2022 at his resident.
Funeral services will be held 11 A.M. Saturday January 7th 2023, at St. Phillip Missionary Baptist Church located 5002 Holyneck Road Campbellton, FL with the Reverends Jesse Rogers, Rudolph Dickens, Richard Peterson and Lonnie Gilbert and Randy McMillan officiating. Interment will follow in the Holyneck Cemetery with full military honors and with McKinnie Funeral Home of Campbellton directing.
A public viewing for family and friends will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday January 6th 2023 at the Shira Sr. and Chelcie McKinnie Memorial Chapel located at 5304 Bowden Hill Road Campbellton, FL.
Don confessed his life to Christ at an early age and was a faithful member of St. Phillip Missionary Baptist Church. Don was educated in the Jackson County School System afterwards he joined the United States Army where he earned rank of Sergeant First Class and served his country honorable for 24 years. After leaving the Army he went to work for Melvin Engineering where he served as an Inspector.
He loved the lord and served as a Sunday school teacher superintendent and also a trustee where Rev. Peterson called him and Ulysses “Pillars of St. Phillips”
He was preceded in death by his parents: Willie and Annie B. Trueblood, Sr., daughter: Temeka Trueblood, one sister: Bernice Trueblood Ross, two brothers: James Allen Trueblood, Sr., Willie Trueblood, Jr. and one sister-in-law Rudean Oliver Trueblood.
He leaves to cherish his memories: one brother: Moses Lee Trueblood (Jean) of Camp Hill, PA., one sister: Sally Jean Trueblood Wilkinson, of Marianna, FL, two special nieces: Debra A. Ross of Charlotte, NC and Jenelle A. Wilkinson of Marianna, FL., one brother-in-law: Alwyn Wilkinson of Wesley Chapel, FL., nephews: Terill, Terris and James Trueblood, nieces: Tawanda, Keisha and Crystal Trueblood, great nephew: Mattox Neel. A very special friend: Ulysses Dudley and Care giver Stevie Russ of Campbellton, FL, and a host of other relatives and friends.
