Mr. Corey Lamont Johnson of Marianna, Florida entered into eternal rest on Friday, July 7th at Southeast Health Medical Center in Dothan surrounded by a loving and caring family. He was 51 years of age.
He was of the Baptist faith and a member of New Hoskie Missionary Baptist Church where he was ordained a Deacon.
Corey leaves treasured memories with his mother, Karen P. Morgan of Marianna; his father, Ralph A. Johnson of Marianna; his wife, Brandy H. Johnson of Marianna; six sons, DeCorian Daniels, Odonahven Johnson, Trey Johson all of Marianna, Florida, Corey Johnson, Jr. of Tallahassee, Corey Johnson, III of Dothan, Alabama and Eric Peterson of Graceville; three daughters, Oriyah Johnson of Marianna, Delasha Johnson of Milton, Florida and Kunswalla Harris of Dothan, Alabama; six sisters, Sherry Johnson, Cassandra Gillette, Heather Johnson, Annie Lois Baker, Sierra McGriff and Sharon Baker; 16 grandchildren; maternal grandmother, Hettie Jackson of Marianna; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
A public viewing will be Friday, July 14th from 3-6pm at Peoples Funeral Home Chapel
A Celebration of Corey’s life will be held 11am Saturday, July 15th at St. James African Methodist Episcopal Church with Pastor Ronald D. Mizer, Reverend Brandon Killings, and Reverend Derick Roulhac officiating. Interment will follow in the Orange Hill Cemetery with arrangements entrusted to the Caring Staff at Peoples Funeral Home of Marianna.
