Mrs. Minnie Lewis Walker age 61 of Slocomb, Alabama (St. Peter Community) passed away Saturday, March 30, 2019 at the Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan, Alabama. The Funeral Service will be 1pm, Saturday, April 13, 2019 at Springfield A. M. E. Church located at 4194 Union Road Marianna, Florida, where the Reverend Hollis McClendon pastor with Elder Roberto A. Castillo officiating, she will be laid to rest in the church cemetery with McKinnie Funeral Home of Campbellton, Florida directing.
Visitation will held from 4 to 6 pm Friday, April 12th at McKinnie Funeral Home Chapel.
Minnie Lewis Walker was the born on November 19, 1957, in Marianna, FL. She was the 4th child of 4 children born to the late Georgia Mae Lewis and the late William Long.
Minnie was never a stranger to anyone. She was a praying woman who loved her family, talking, listening and giving great advice. She also enjoyed playing her games and living her life.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Georgia Mae Lewis; her brother, Otis Lewis and her devoted and loving husband, Luke “LW” Walker.
She leaves to cherish her beautiful memories; Two Daughters: Shanda Walker and Miranda Walker White (Tommy) both of Marianna, FL; One Son: Jeffrey Lewis of Slocomb, AL. Two Sisters: Betty Baker (Tommy) of Marianna, FL and Calona Clemmons (RD) of Campbellton, FL; Eight Grandchildren: Kiara White, La’Dallion White, Tyreese White, Ja’Shonda Mathis, Jashonna Mathis, Jeffrey Lewis, Jr., Jessica Lewis and Trinity Green,; Six Nieces: Tina Baker (Andre), Shantel Barkley, Alexandria Clemmons (Justin), Felica Lewis-Snowden, Stacy Turner and She’ree Mathis; Nine Nephews: Jerhron Clemmons (Mattie), Willie Clemmons (Tangelyn), David Clemmons (Robin), Robert Clemmons (Monica), Steve Clemmons (Demetria), Daniel Clemmons (Tamika), Chris Baker (Michelle), Richard Baker and Marques Barkley; Two Sisters-in-Law: Rayvina Watford (Joseph) of Chipley, FL and Pearlene Jones (Earlie D) of Browntown, FL; Three Brothers-in-Law: Richard Walker (Gladys) of Dothan, AL, Donnell Walker (Bertha) of South FL and Neil Walker of Dothan, AL; Two Step Daughters: Velvelon Walker (Johnny) of Chipley, FL and Valeria Reed (Forrest) of Campbellton, FL; Two Stepsons: Luke E. Walker of Graceville, FL, Lonzell Walker and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and countless other friends.
