Mildred Marie Green, 81, of Chattahoochee, FL, died on January 26, 2020 with her children by her side. Mrs. Green was born on September 20, 1938 in Sidon, Mississippi to Joe and Jessie Fulcher. She and her husband Charles T. Green Married in 1954 and raised their children in various areas of the U.S. and abroad as he was an Army Serviceman. Upon his retirement they settled in Chattahoochee, Florida. Mrs. Green then, was employed by the Gadsden County School system and she retired in 2002. Mrs. Green was a founding member of United Believers Worship Center in Grand Ridge, Florida. Her interest included, caring for her yard, shopping with her daughters, and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her son, Ronnie Green of Sneads, Florida.
Mrs. Green is survived by her son, Mike (Sue) Green, their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren; daughter, Darlene (David) Herndon and their children and grandchildren; daughter, Linda (Chris) Ajhar and their children; as well as the children and grandchildren of her son, the late Ronnie Green and her beloved dog Bella.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, January 31, 2020 beginning at 10:00 AM Central Time at United Believers Worship Center in Grand Ridge, FL with Rev. Kelvin Johnson officiating. Visitation for friends and family will be held on Thursday, January 30, 2020 at 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM Central Time at McAlpin Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Dykes Cemetery in Sneads, FL.
