Melissa Kay Kelly, 50, a beloved mother, daughter, and friend, went to her Heavenly home on Saturday, August 27, 2022. Melissa was born June 21, 1972, to Charles and Shelia Dolinger. Melissa was a Registered Nurse; she made a career of helping mothers bring babies into the world.
Melissa is predeceased by her father, Charles Dolinger, and her beloved grandmother, Kattie Bell Blackman. She is survived by her loving daughter, Victoria Grace Kelly; her loving mother and best friend, Shelia Ann Jackson; her brothers, Chad Etheridge (Brittany) and Albert Etheridge (Amy); nieces, Emily Claire, Amelia Anne, Eleanor, Adaline, Annabelle, and Olivia; and nephew, Samson; as well as a special uncle, Charles Riley, and family.
Melissa was a strong and resilient woman who will be remembered for her quick wit, wonderful conversation, and love for her family. Melissa’s greatest joy in life was her daughter, Victoria Grace Kelly. Melissa will be truly missed by all who loved her, but we know we will see her soon.
A celebration of life will be held later for invited friends and family.
