Deacon MC McCarter age 87 of Malone, FL passed away Tuesday, April 23rd at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
Funeral services will be held 1p.m. Saturday May 4th, 2019 at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church located 5382 Old U S Road Malone, FL (McChapel Community) with Rev. Mark Dudley officiating, Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Mckinnie Funeral Home of Campbellton, FL directing.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 6p.m. Friday May 3rd at Mckinnie Funeral Home Chapel located 5304 Bowden Hill Rd Campbellton, FL.
Deacon MC McCarter’s life journey began in Marianna on September 1, 1931 as the son of the late Virgil McCarter and Shellie McKay Bellamy one of fithteen children.
Deacon McCarter joined Mt. Zion at an early age and remained a faithful member until he moved to Bradenton, FL. And joined St. Mary Missionary Baptist Church where he served in many capacities by singing in the Male Chorus, Choir and becoming a deacon.
On December 23 1963, he entered into holy matrimony to Lillie Mae Olds and to this union one daughter was born.
He was preceded in death by thirtheen siblings.
Deacon McCarter leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 55 years Lillie Mae Olds McCarter.
Two daughters: Beverly Smith (Kenneth) and Brenda McCarter
Two sons: Mitch McCarter and William “Jet” Gibson (Deloris)
His adoring grandchildren and great grandchildren.
One Brother: David McCarter
A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
