Mary Sue Dudley Grantham (Sue), 87, of Marianna, Fl entered her Heavenly Home on March 24, 2023, at Select Hospital in Tallahassee, FL.
She was born on Oct. 8, 1935 to Claudie Bell and John T. Dudley in Marianna, Fl, and lived in Marianna most of her life. Sue was primarily a homemaker, who enjoyed crocheting, sewing, crafting, and reading. She loved her chihuahuas she had over the years (Tiny, Mitzi and Mandy), and fishing in her pond, where she met “Big Bird”. She especially loved fishing, camping and traveling with her husband John. In her younger years she was an avid water-skier and City League softball player.
Sue was a faithful Christian and member of Eastside Baptist Church for many years. She was also a longtime faithful volunteer at the Courtyard at The Millpond, where she would go weekly to visit “her little ladies”.
Sue was preceded in death by her parents, Claudie Kingry Dudley and John T. Dudley, her sister Jean Brown Lawrence, brother-in-law Roy Brown, brother Bennie Joe Dudley, sister-in-law Willa Jean Pace Dudley, and very recently her daughter Gina Edwards Rowell.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband John A. Grantham, son Terry J. Edwards and wife Penny, granddaughters Angela P. Chase (Billy), Tirzah E. Conrad (Brandon), grandsons Jeremy Edwards (JerriLynn) and Joseph Edwards (Courtney), great-grandchildren Gage Pettis
(Lauren), Kayla Edwards, Zackary Chase (Naudia), Desiree Edwards, Christian Chase, Jonathan Edwards, Jackson Maphis, Levi Conrad, Emmett Elixson, Wyatt Conrad, and Anders Edwards, great-great-grandchildren Carson and Dalton Pettis, sister-in-law Carolyn Grantham, and brother-in-law Richard Lawrence.
Her family enjoyed her wonderful peanut butter cake over the years, and her grands and great-grands loved playing Rummy with Nanny (They usually lost!) She will be missed.
In lieu of a funeral service the family will have a private celebration of her life on April 8. Memorialization will be by cremation.
