Mary Helen Wester of Sneads, Florida passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 27, 2020. She was born on December 31, 1928 in Sneads, Florida to Emory and Maida Snead Wester. Mary Helen was a lifelong resident of Sneads. She was a woman of faith and attended Sneads Assembly of God Church when she was able. She lived a fulfilled life serving others. Mary Helen enjoyed fishing and hunting when she was younger and working in her flower beds. In more recent years, she loved traveling and seeing the world with the love of her life Ronald Roberts. Mary Helen always looked forward to visits from family and friends. She was an inspiration to all who knew her, and she will be missed greatly.
Mary Helen is survived by the love of her life of more than 40 years, Ronald Roberts; two nephews, David Wester and Greg Wester; three nieces, Donna Chason, Kelli Soles (Patrick), and Sheila Christy (Scott); two sisters in law, Maxine Wester and Johnnie Wester; four great nieces; one great nephew; four great great-nieces and one great great-nephew.
Mary Helen was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Leonard Wester, John Wester, and James Wester; as well as one sister in law, Vera Mae Wester.
The family would like to express their sincere thanks to Covenant Care Hospice staff for their faithful loving care of Ms. Mary Helen.
Graveside Services will be held on Thursday, October 1, 2020 beginning at 10:00 AM Central Time at Pope Cemetery with Dr. Juno Douglas officiating. A time of visitation will be held Wednesday, September 30, 2020 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Central Time at McAlpin Funeral Home.
