Mary Ann Jackson, age 78, of the Alliance Community, FL passed away Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at her home. Ann was born August 4, 1944, in the Alliance Community, FL to Lonnie and Beatrice Wimberly. Ann lived in Jackson County the majority of her life and was a member of Mt Olive Baptist Church. She enjoyed working with her flowers and in her yard, especially burning the leaf pile, and spending time with her beloved dog, Pete. Ann was the worship leader at Mt Olive Baptist Church and had a love for gospel music. She worked for many years at Altha Farmers Co-op and loved visiting with people in her community. She had a strong faith and enjoyed sharing that with others. She was preceded in death by her parents Lonnie and Beatrice Wimberly; husband of 59 years, Roy Douglas Jackson I; brothers, Lonnie Wimberly Jr., J.Y. Wimberly; sisters, Evelyn Spivey, Joyce Larock, Betty Wimberly, Audry Hagan. Survivors include son, Roy D. (Ross) Jackson II and Brenda of Altha, FL; daughter, Bonnie Jackson Seay and Charlie of Port St Joe, FL; grandchildren, Turner and Emily. Family will receive friends Saturday, May 20, 2023, starting at 10:00 AM CT at Mt Olive Baptist Church in Altha, FL. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM CT with Reverend Bob Davis officiating. Interment will be at Mt Olive Cemetery. All arrangements are under the direction of Marlon Peavy at Peavy Funeral Home in Blountstown, FL.
