Mary Alice Croft Tyree, 85, of Moultrie, Georgia passed away Sunday, February 19, 2023 at her daughter’s residence in Grand Ridge, FL.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, February 22, 2023, at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Reverend Jason Naes officiating. Interment will be in Rose of Sharon Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1:00-1:45 PM Wednesday at Cobb Funeral Chapel.
Born January 12, 1938, in Colquitt County, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Jim Croft and Lillie B. Alderman Croft. Mrs. Tyree retired from Piggly Wiggly as a bookkeeper and was a member of Grace Freewill Baptist Church. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother, who loved her family dearly.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Jackson Tyree, Sr.; son, Thomas “Tommy” Jackson Tyree, Jr.; brother, Jimmy Croft; special friend, Henry Vaughn.
Survivors include her daughter, Jane Tyree Thompson and husband, Tim of Grand Ridge, FL; daughter-in-law, Pat Tyree of Moultrie, GA; grandchildren, Kayla Naes and husband Jason, Lindy Tidwell and husband, William; great-grandchildren, Jaxon Naes, Willow Tidwell, Harper Tidwell; sister, Judy Grantham and husband, Gary of Sylvania, GA; sister-in-law, Lou Croft of Moultrie, GA; special friends, Elaine Vaughn, Jane and Kenneth Pitts, all of Moultrie, GA; several nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members and friends.
James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel are handling the local arrangements for the family.
